Dieting is hard to write about

The hardest part about being on a diet, is writing about the diet.
You don't want to think about it, much less tell other people how hard it is to pass up the cheeseburger when you just passed the fried chicken and pizza parlor for a salad with no croutons and no bread sticks.

So far, I've made it into week 3.

Week 2 was the week of consessions. And mostly because of necessity. Like the fact that the entire city of Atlanta was paralyzed by a layer of ice so thick you could skate on it.

Having run out of options in the vegetable and fruit department I had to resort to the frozen foods still lurking in the freezer. Therefore I had to break my meatless clause.

So now the diet has evolved to having a meat product, preferable poultry or fish, every other day. This only recently included eggs, an item I neglected to purchase before the storm.

So in holding onto my will power and refusing the full fat cheeses and medium-rare steaks, my diet continues in the hopes that it will become a lifestyle and life long change.

Here's to rabbit food.
