Apple and Waffles

Spiced Waffles and Lavender Scented Apples

This Recipe is a result of needing something to do with the leftover apples from my mother's Apple Diet.

Apple Diet: Eat apples, all day, everyday, for like a week or so. You can eat as many as you want, whenever you want. Just as long as you eat apples. Personally not one of my favorite diets.


Waffles :
Just add pinches of cinnamon, ginger, clove to waffle mix. Waffles are my sister's specialty, not mine, therefore I don't have a scratch recipe.




Apples:
Peal and core apples. Dice. I think I had about 6 or 7 medium
In a hot frying pan add 2 tablespoons of butter and all the apples.
Let fry until the apples start to brown, this could take 15-20 minutes, so don't rush, otherwise you'll have burnt, mushy apples. Turn them every so often to get the water to cook down, but don't over turn them, you want to be able to tell its apples.
When the apples are starting to brown add 3 tablespoons of molasses, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of lavender water.
Lavender Water - add hot water to dried lavender(about 1-2 tsp) , let steep, strain. Liquid will be fragrant, not dark.
Let this cook down, apples will be brown and there will be very little liquid. If you want syrup add 1/2 cop of brown sugar and another 1/2 cup of lavender water.




Add Bacon and pecans!
